Iowa Company 2013 Audited Earnings Up 781% Over 2008

Since the US Senate Race in Iowa is really heating up, I think it would be helpful to research how the 19 Iowa Headquartered Companies with Market Capitalizations now of at least $100 mil each and with annual audited financial statements filed with the SEC in all years from 2008 through 2013 have done on the earnings front.

The Total Audited 2013 Net Income from Continuing Operations of these 19 Iowa Companies was $2,644 mil, an increase of a phenomenal 781% from the comparable earnings of only $300 mil in 2008, which was the very last year of the George W Bush/Dick Cheney Presidency.

This exceptionally strong earnings recovery for these 19 Iowa Companies from 2008 to the most recent 2013 occurred when the retiring Tom Harken was an Iowa Democratic US Senator and also when Democrats had a majority in the US Senate.
