Arkansas Company Stock Market Prices Up 451% Since March 6, 2009

Since on next Monday, October 6, 2014 and Tuesday, October 7, 2014, former US President Bill Clinton is stumping in Arkansas for 4 Democratic candidates, including US Senator Mark Pryor and Mike Ross, who is running for Governor, I think it would be helpful to research how the Arkansas Headquartered Companies have done on the stock market price front since March 6, 2009, which was the very bottom point of the US Stock Market due to the spillover effects resulting from the disastrous 2008 financial meltdown.

During this five years and seven months period of time from March 6, 2009 through October 3, 2014, Mark Pryor was a Democratic Arkansas US Senator and Democrat Mike Beebe served as the Arkansas Governor.

I found 16 Companies Headquartered in Arkansas in Google or Yahoo's superb Finance websites with current Total Stock Market Capitalizations of at least $100 mil and which also had their common stocks trading on each of the following three dates:
  • On December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second term.....before the 2008 financial meltdown
  • On March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was the lowest point for the US stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown, and
  • also on the most recent date October 3, 2014
The historical stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources....  Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts.

These 16 Arkansas Companies had their equally-company-weighted average stock market prices decline by 39% from December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second Presidential term, to March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was the very lowest point for the overall stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the disastrous 2008 Financial Meltdown.

But in the five years and seven months since March 6, 2009 through October 3, 2014, the equally-company-weighted average stock market prices of these same 16 Arkansas Companies have increased by a spectacular 451%.  And all 16 of them posted stock market price appreciation, with the lowest increase being up 37%.

Thus in the six years and nine months from December 31, 2007 before the 2008 financial meltdown to the most recent date October 3, 2014, the equally-company-weighted average stock market prices of these same 16 Arkansas Companies have increased by an extremely impressive 124%...... yeah, these Arkansas Companies have not just recouped what they lost with the 2008 financial meltdown, but also added another 124%.

Below here are the stock market prices of each of these 16 Arkansas Companies on October 3, 2014, on March 6, 2009, and on December 31, 2007, along with the related Stock Market Price Percentage Changes:

The Total Audited 2013 Net Income from Continuing Operations of the 15 Arkansas Companies other than the giant Walmart was $2,884 mil, an increase of a spectacular 320% from the comparable earnings of $687 mil in 2009, which was the very low point of annual corporate profits due to the late 2008 financial meltdown.

Walmart's 2013 Net Income of $15,918 mil, which is a massive 5.5 times the Total Net Income of the other above 15 Arkansas Companies combined, was up 10% over the comparable Walmart earnings in 2009.

This off-the-charts earnings recovery for these Arkansas Companies from 2009 to the most recent 2013 occurred when Democrat Mark Pryor was an Arkansas US Senator, Democrat Mike Beebe the Arkansas Governor, and also when Democrats had a majority in the US Senate.

In addition, the Total Audited Earnings of these 16 Arkansas Companies including Walmart in 2013 were up 25% over the comparable earnings in 2007, which was the peak year earnings before the disastrous effects of the 2008 financial meltdown hit......these Arkansas Companies not only recouped the earnings they lost with the financial meltdown, but they also added another 25% of earnings.
