14 Hot US Senate Race States Company 2013 Audited Profits Without Freddie Mac Up 6,596% Over 2008 ........................................................................................ Including Freddie Mac 2013 Audited Earnings Were $247 Bil vs 2008 Audited Loss of $47 Bil

There is a very key Fundraiser being held tomorrow Monday October 20, 2014 at Tavern in Los Angeles being hosted by many very talented, politically concerned people including Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Kate Capshaw.  The beneficiaries of this Fundraiser are the 14 Democratic Candidates for US Senate in 14 very hot races deciding who gets control of the US Senate.

Thus I think it makes sense to research how Companies headquartered in these 14 US States have done on the earnings front before, during and since the disastrous 2008 financial meltdown, which occurred in the last year of President George W Bush/Dick Cheney's Presidency.

From the beginning of 2009 to now, the US Senate was under Democratic control and Barack Obama was US President. 

There were 332 Companies headquartered in these 14 US States with Stock Market Capitalizations now of at least $1 bil each for the ones in the 7 somewhat larger States (Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina and Virginia) and of at least $100 mil each for the ones in the 7 somewhat smaller States (Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Kentucky, New Hampshire, Oregon and West Virginia) and also with annual audited financial statements filed with the SEC in all years from 2008 through 2013.

Included in these 332 Companies was Virginia-based Freddie Mac, which generated $49 bil of Audited Earnings in the year 2013 as compared with $50 bil of Audited Net Losses in the year 2008.  And Washington DC-based Fannie Mae's earning improvement was much larger than that of Freddie Mac.  Whoever played a key role in this earth-shattering $99 bil earnings improvement of Freddie Mac and of the even larger Fannie Mae earnings improvement should be awarded with something similar to a Financial Medal of Honor for helping turn around the US Government from the financial abyss caused by the late 2008 financial meltdown.  Just sayin.

The Total Audited 2013 Net Income from Continuing Operations of these 331 Companies in these 14 US States excluding the hugely abnormal Freddie Mac was a massive $197.9 bil, an increase of a phenomenally off-the-charts 6,596% from the comparable earnings of $3.0 bil in 2008, which was the very last year of the George W Bush/Dick Cheney Presidency.

When I include Freddie Mac, these 332 Companies in these 14 US States generated Total Audited 2013 Net Income from Continuing Operations in 2013 of $246.5 bil as compared with Total Audited Net Losses of $47.2 bil in 2008.....yeah, that's an earnings improvement of $294 bil.

In addition, the Total Audited Earnings of these 332 Companies in these 14 US States in 2013 of $246.5 bil were up an exceptionally off-the-charts 207% increase over the comparable earnings in 2007 of $80.4 bil, which was the peak year earnings before the disastrous effects of the 2008 financial meltdown hit......these 332 Companies in these 14 US States not only recouped the earnings they lost with the financial meltdown, but they also added another incredibly high $166 bil or 207% of earnings.

This miraculous earnings recovery for these 332 Companies from 2008 to the most recent 2013 occurred when both California US Senators were Democrats, when the Democrats controlled the US Senate, when a substantial majority of California US House members were Democrats, when President Obama was in office and when there were very effective US Fed Chairpersons, including the exceptionally prescient, very likeable Janet Yellen.

Below here are the Audited Net Income (Loss) From Continuing Operations for each of these 332 Companies in these 14 US States in each of the six years 2013, 2012, 2011, 2009, 2008 and 2007, along with the related Net Income (Loss) Percentage Changes.  They are shown below alphabetically by US State with each Democratic US Senate Candidate in each US State also shown there below:
