13 Largest US Major Drug Manufacturers Stock Prices Up 1,128% Under Obama and the US Fed

I found 13 US Major Drug Manufacturing Companies classified in the Health Care Sector at Yahoo's superb Finance website with current Total Market Capitalizations of at least $100 mil each and which also had their common stocks trading on each of the following three dates:

  • On December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second term
  • On March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was their lowest point due to the spillover effects resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown, and 
  • also on the most recent date February 4, 2014.

The historical common stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources....  Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts.

These 13 US Major Drug Manufacturing Companies had their average stock prices increase by a massive 1,128% from March 6, 2009 to today February 5, 2014, driven by a spectacular 13,318% stock price increase registered by Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, which is having positive results in developing an oral compound for treating chronic kidney disease.

Clearly, the investors in and employees of a clear majority of these 13 largest US Major Drug Manufacturing Companies must be very pleased with the impact of actions taken by both the Obama Administration and the US Fed to successfully rescue the US economy from its extremely weakened state.

When you combine the above two charts, 24 of these 27 largest US Major Drug Manufacturing Companies are headquartered in US States voting for Barack Obama in both Presidential Elections.

With both of these exceptional results, I think it is very reasonable to conclude that the US Major Drug Manufacturers have performed exceedingly well during the Obama Administration.

Also, these US Major Drug Manufacturing Companies have flat out thrived under the Affordable Care Act.  Wise investors have moved up their common stock market prices smartly in anticipation of many more US citizens being covered by insurance and by Medicaid Expansion.
