Oklahoma Company Average Stock Prices Up 877% Under Obama, Coburn, Cole and the US Fed, After Being Down 56% Due to Financial Meltdown

I found 23 Oklahoma Headquartered Companies in Yahoo's superb Finance website with current Total Market Capitalizations of at least $100 mil and which also had their common stocks trading on each of the following three dates:
  • On December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second term
  • On March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was the lowest point for the US stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown, and
  • also on the most recent date February 20, 2014.
In addition, Tulsa-based Dollar Thrifty was a separate public company until November 2012, when it was acquired by Hertz for $87.50 per share.  Because the stock market appreciation during the Obama Administration of Dollar Thrifty was so gigantic, below I show the average stock market price appreciation of Oklahoma Companies both with and without Dollar Thrifty.

The historical stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources....  Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts.

These 24 Oklahoma Headquartered Companies, including Dollar Thrifty, had their equally-company-weighted average stock market prices decline by a massive 56% from December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second Presidential term, to March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was the very lowest point for the overall stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the disastrous 2008 Financial Meltdown.

But in the slightly less than five years since March 6, 2009, the equally-company-weighted average stock market prices of these same 24 Oklahoma Companies have increased by a spectacularly off-the-charts 877% through February 20, 2014.

The equally-company-weighted average stock market prices of the 23 Oklahoma Companies, excluding Dollar Thrifty, increased by a still very impressive 426% from March 6, 2009 through February 20, 2014.

All 24 Oklahoma Companies had stock market price appreciation since March 6, 2009.

The two main drivers of this exceptional Oklahoma stock market price appreciation since March 6, 2009 was Dollar Thrifty's stock market price increasing 112 times and Gulfport Energy's increasing 40 times.

Oklahoma citizens should be extremely pleased with the outstanding performance of these Oklahoma Companies during the Obama Administration.

Below here are the stock market prices of these 24 Oklahoma Companies on February 20, 2014, on March 6, 2009, and on December 31, 2007:
