Average 26 Months % Change for all 43 | 100% |
These 43 largest US Application Software Companies with their common stocks first trading subsequent to December 31, 2007 experienced an average stock price appreciation of precisely 100% for the very short 26 average months that their common stocks have been trading.
Clearly, the investors in and employees of a clear majority of these 79 largest US Application Software Companies must be very pleased with the impact of actions taken by both the Obama Administration and the US Fed to successfully rescue the US economy from its extremely weakened state.
Of these 79 largest US Application Software Companies, 29 of them are headquartered in California, then there is a drop down to 10 of them in Massachusetts, and then another drop down to 5 and below spread all around the US in both Blue and Red States.
The more I study the outstanding stock performance of the many technology and biotechnology companies during the Obama Administration, it is easy to see why the economies of both California and Massachusetts are now so robust. Both Governors of these two States have played pivotal roles in the substantial enhancement of their State economies.
Further, so many fine nontechnology companies are heavy users of technology which is necessary to make their companies best of breed.
Clearly, technology is driving all aspects of the US economy. The US is fortunate to be so overwhelmingly dominant in its technology versus the rest of the world. Frankly, I would put more weight on the country's technological dominance than on its military dominance.
But there is a very significant problem here that the US Congress has refused to address. This US technological dominance is leaving most US citizens way behind the curve here, and especially many in the US middle classes and nearly all in the US lower economic classes. They aren't sharing in the fruits of this US technological dominance. This US technological dominance is contributing much to the massive and ever-expanding US Income and Wealth Inequality.
