11 Largest US Diversified Communication Services Company Stock Prices Down 70% Due to Financial Meltdown Spillover Effects, Then Up 808% Under Obama and the US Fed

I found 11 US Diversified Communication Services Companies classified in the Technology Sector at Yahoo's superb Finance website with current Total Market Capitalizations of at least $100 mil and which also had their common stocks trading on each of the following three dates :

  • On December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second term
  • On March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was their lowest point due to the spillover effects resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown, and
  • also on the most recent date February 13, 2014.

The historical common stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources....  Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts.

These 11 largest US Diversified Communication Services Companies had their average stock prices decline by a massive 70% from December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second Presidential term, to March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was the very lowest point for the overall stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the disastrous 2008 Financial Meltdown.

But in the slightly less than five years since March 6, 2009, the average stock prices of these same 11 largest US Diversified Communication Services Companies have increased by a spectacular 808% through February 13, 2014.  There were 3 of these Companies which had their stock prices increase by more than 10 times since March 6, 2009.....McLean, VA-based GTT Communications (up 30.9 times), Newark, NJ-based IDT Corp (up 28.0 times) and Holmdel, NJ-based Vonage Holdings (up 10.1 times).

Clearly, the investors in and employees of nearly all 11 of these largest US Diversified Communication Services Companies must be extremely pleased with the impact of actions taken by both the Obama Administration and the US Fed to successfully rescue the US economy from its extremely weakened state.

Below here are the stock market prices of each of these 11 largest US Diversified Communication Services Companies on February 13, 2014, on March 6, 2009, and on  December 31, 2007:
