The 60 Southeast Florida Companies With Market Caps Above $100 Mil Generated Total Audited US GAAP Earnings in 2015 of $8.051 Bil, Up 30% Over Their 2014 Total Audited Earnings of $6.197 Bil, Up $8.953 Bil From Their Losses of $0.902 Bil in 2008, the Year Before President Obama Took Office

Since President Obama is traveling tomorrow Thursday, October 20, 2016, to the Miami, FL area, I think it might be helpful to research how Florida Headquartered Companies have performed on the earnings front during the Obama Administration.

From a review of the very fine Google Finance Website and of company financial statements in the US SEC website, I found the 135 Companies headquartered in Florida, all with Stock Market Capitalizations now of more than $100 Mil and which also have filed their fiscal year 2015 annual financial statements with the SEC.  Traditional Regulated Utilities were excluded.

Of these 135 Florida Companies, 60 of them are headquartered in the Southeast Florida area.

As you can see in the below chart, the Total Audited Earnings of these 60 Southeast Florida Companies  were $8.051 Bil in 2015, up a very robust 30% from their 2014 Total Earnings of $6.197 Bil.

Further, these Total Earnings of $8.051 Bil in 2015 were up 993%, or up $8.953 Bil from their Total Losses of $0.902 Bil registered in 2008, the year before Barack Obama took office as the US President.

Below here are the reported Audited Earnings (Losses) From Continuing Operations of each of these 135 Florida Companies for all years reported from 2007 through 2015 where the amounts were presented and in a consistent manner:
