The 134 Florida Companies With Market Caps Above $100 Mil Generated Total Audited US GAAP Earnings in 2015 of $18.710 Bil, Up 18% Over Their 2014 Total Audited Earnings of $15.972 Bil, Up $21.253 Bil From Their Losses of $2.543 Bil in 2008, the Year Before President Obama Took Office, and Even Up 100% Over 2007

Since President Obama is traveling next Wednesday, October 5, 2016, to both Tampa, FL and Miami, FL, I think it might be helpful to research how Florida Headquartered Companies have performed on the earnings front during the Obama Administration.

From a review of the very fine Google Finance Website and of company financial statements in the US SEC website, I found the 134 Companies headquartered in Florida, all with Stock Market Capitalizations now of more than $100 Mil and which also have filed their fiscal year 2015 annual financial statements with the SEC.  Traditional Regulated Utilities were excluded.

As you can see in the below chart, the Total Audited Earnings of these 134 Florida Companies dropped by $11.890 Bil or by 127% from the Total Earnings of $9.347 Bil in 2007 to the Total Losses of $2.543 in 2008, the financial meltdown year and also the year before President Obama took office.  Then, these Total Earnings increased  to $4.573 Bil in 2009 and then further to $10.899 Bil in 2010, thereby more than recouping in only two years the total earnings decline resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown year.  Whew!

Below here are the reported Audited Earnings (Losses) From Continuing Operations of each of these 134 Florida Companies for all years reported from 2007 through 2015 where the amounts were presented and in a consistent manner:
