The historical stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources.... Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts. The superb Yahoo Finance website was also utilized heavily.
These 16 Colorado Companies had their average stock market price increase by a phenomenal 74% over a very short 21 month average period of time that their common stocks traded through the most recent date March 13, 2014.
The main driver of this 74% average stock price growth was Clovis Oncology, a Biotechnology Company which registered a massive 549% stock market price growth for the short 28 months from when it went public through March 13, 2014.
Altogether there were 3 Colorado Companies filing IPOs which had their stock market prices more than double from IPO first day closing price to March 13, 2014.
Noodles & Company's below modest 5% stock price growth is a bit misleading. It went public on June 28, 2013 with a $18.00 Offering Price. Its opening trade on that same date was $32.00, 78% above its Offering Price. On the other hand, the 5% stock price growth I am conservatively showing below compares the current March 13, 2014 stock price of $38.52 with the June 28, 2013 first day closing market price of $36.75, not with the $18.00 Offering Price and not with the $32.00 Opening Trade Price.
I know these two guys who run Noodles.....Kevin Reddy and Keith Kinsey.....very well, especially Kinsey. I worked with them for many years with McDonald's Corp. I don't think you will find any Company top twosome in the Restaurant Industry who can top them.... they can flat out execute. They both also played very instrumental roles in the success of Chipotle Mexican Grill. The only thing I don't like about them is why they haven't yet opened a Noodles in Evansville, IN. We need some of that great healthy Noodles food. We are rated one of the most obese cities in the country.
