All San Francisco/Silicon Valley Companies 2014 and 2013 Two Year Audited Earnings Were $354 Bil, Up $222 Bil From Two Year 2009 and 2008 Audited Earnings, Driven In Part By President Obama, Governor Jerry Brown, California US Senators Feinstein and Boxer, Nancy Pelosi and the Other California US House Members, and the US Fed

From a very thorough review of SEC filings, I found an amazingly high number of 171 Companies headquartered in the San Francisco/Silicon Valley Area of California with Stock Market Capitalizations now of at least $1 bil and which have filed 2014 financial statements with the SEC.

Of these 171 Companies, 112 of them are in Technology and another 30 are in Health Care. 

So just how have these 171 largest San Francisco/Silicon Valley Area Companies done on the earnings front before, during and after the 2008 financial meltdown?  Just absolutely off-the-charts earnings improvement.

The Total Audited Net Income from Continuing Operations of these 171 largest San Francisco/Silicon Valley Area Companies for the Two Years 2014 and 2013 Combined was $354 bil, an increase of an exceptionally off-the-charts $222 bil over the $132 bil comparable Total Earnings generated by these same companies in the US financial meltdown years of 2008 and 2009 Combined.

So if the question to answer is how much better off are these largest San Francisco/Silicon Valley Area Companies now than they were during their 2008 and 2009 financial meltdown fiscal years, the answer is $222 bil better as audited earnings under US generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) are measured by the very prestigious US accounting profession.
