North Carolina Non-Financial Corps Stock Prices Up 275% Since President Obama Took Office

From a review of SEC filings, I found 56 Corps headquartered in the State of North Carolina.....41 Non-Financial and 15 Financial..... which generated Core, Ongoing Pretax Income or Pretax Loss of at least $10 mil each in any of the first three years of the Obama Administration (2009, 2010 or 2011), and which also had their common stock trading on both January 16, 2009, which is the last day stocks traded before President Obama took office, and also yesterday, August 29, 2013.

These 56 North Carolina Corps had their average stock prices increase by an impressive 210% from January 16, 2009 to August 29, 2013.  This 210% increase is 2.3 times the 93% increase in the S&P 500 Index over the same time span.

The 41 Non-Financial Corps did even better, generating an average stock price increase of 275% so far during the Obama Administration.

The stock price underperformance of North Carolina Financial Corps is something that is prevalent all throughout the US, except for New York City.

Probably more than anyone, North Carolina US Senator Kay Hagan has been instrumental in the outperformance of North Carolina Non-Financial Corps during her Senate tenure, which has run concurrently with President Obama's terms.  And US House members Mel Watt, David Price, Mike McIntyre and GK Butterfield have also worked hard and very effectively to bolster all North Carolina businesses of all sizes.

Below here are the common stock market closing prices of each of these 56 North Carolina Corps at both the most recent date (August 29, 2013) and also at the date just before President Obama took office in his first term (Jan 16, 2009), as well as the percentage stock market price changes for this period of time:
