Colorado Corp Stock Prices Up 234% Since President Obama Took Office

From a review of SEC filings, I found 58 Non-Utility Corps headquartered in the State of Colorado, which generated Core, Ongoing Pretax Income or Pretax Loss of at least $10 mil each in any of the first three years of the Obama Administration (2009, 2010 or 2011), and which also had their common stock trading on both January 16, 2009, which is the last day stocks traded before President Obama took office and also on yesterday, August 19, 2013.

These 58 Colorado Corps had their average stock prices increase by an incredible 234% from January 16, 2009 to the close yesterday, Aug 19, 2013.  And this 234% increase is 2.5 times the 94% increase in the S&P 500 Index over the same time span.

Yeah, a 234% average increase over just more than four and a half years is pretty cool.  There is clearly something very magical happening in the entrepreneurial hotbed of Colorado.  Colorado citizens have to be extremely happy with the overall stock market performance of their superb Colorado Companies during the Obama Administration.

But it wasn't just the Obama Administration.  Colorado has two outstanding US Senators.....Mark Udall and Michael Bennet.....and three very effective US House members.....Diana DeGette, Jared Polis and Ed Perlmutter.  And the bulk of this 234% Colorado average stock price increase happened when the US House was under Democratic control in the first two years of the Obama Administration.  Colorado also has a superb Governor and a highly effective State legislature.  All of the above US and State elected officials have worked hard and effectively to advance the success of all Colorado businesses.

Below here are the common stock market closing prices of each of these 58 Colorado Corps at both the most recent date (August 19, 2013) and also at the date just before President Obama took office in his first term (Jan 16, 2009), as well as the percentage stock market price changes for this period of time:
