These 66 LA area Corps had their average stock prices increase by 154% from January 16, 2009 to the close on Aug 23, 2013. This 154% increase is more than 1.5 times the 96% increase in the S&P 500 Index over the same time span.
Granted, this 154% increase for LA Area Corps is significantly short of the 243% comparable increase for San Fran area Corps, but still this 154% increase in over just more than four and a half years is awfully impressive. LA area citizens here have to be pleased with the overall stock market performance of their many superb Companies during the Obama Administration.
This 154% increase occurred predominately in the first two years of the Obama Administration, when both the US Senate and the US House were under Democratic control.
