McDonald's is the 17th Dow Industrial Company I have researched so far on Top-Tier Executives Average Long-term % Pay Raises Per Year. Its Off-the-Charts 30.7% per year is the very highest of these 17 Dow Companies and there's quite a gap between McDonald's and fellow Chicago Company Caterpillar's second highest 24.4%.
McDonald's 30.7% per year 10 year average annual pay raise is much lower than its 45.2% per year 4 year average annual pay raise since McDonald's key CEO change in March 2015. So on the downside, McDonalds contribution to US Annual Pay Raise Income Inequality was especially expanded during the most recent 4 years.
To fix Income Inequality driven mainly by Company choices on Percentage Annual Pay Raises, the US Government should step in and pass wisely-designed Fair Pay Raise Income Inequality Narrowing Company tax incentives ..... the carrot ..... and Company wise tax disincentives ..... the stick.
Also, the US Government should require all US Corporate Boards to include at least one worker representative.
I will continue this same research for many other large US Companies to get a better handle on just why the US has such massive continuing Income Inequality Expansion ..... it appears to be predominantly about the relative annual pay raise percentages.
