Oklahoma Companies Posted a One-Year Total Earnings Improvement of $13.6 Bil in 2017, Trump's First Year in Office. But Guess What? These Same Oklahoma Companies Posted a One-Year Total Earnings Improvement of a Substantially Higher $40.4 Bil in 2016, Obama's Last Year in Office .......................................................................................

From a review of US SEC filings, there were 24 Companies headquartered in Oklahoma with stock market caps of more than $1 bil recently.

In 2017 in Trump's First Year in Office, These 24 Oklahoma Cos posted an Audited Gold-Standard US GAAP Total Pretax Income From Continuing Operations of $8.6 Bil in Fiscal Year Ended (FYE) 2017, a One-Year Total Pretax Earnings Improvement of a Massive $13.6 Bil From Their Total Pretax Loss of $5.0 Bil in FYE 2016. 

In 2016 in Obama’s last year in office, these same 24 Oklahoma Cos posted an Audited One-Year Total Pretax Earnings Improvement of an even more massive $40.4 Bil in 2016, paring their Total Losses from $45.4 Bil in 2015 down to $5.0 Bil in 2016.  

My Focus is on Pretax Income Rather Than on After-Tax Net Income Because Income Taxes are Simply a Transfer of Financial Wealth Between US Corporations and the US Federal, US State and Foreign Governments.  It Has Nothing Whatsoever to do with Company Operating Performance.

From a review of SEC filings, the chart below shows the Audited Gold-Standard US GAAP Pretax Income (Loss) From Continuing Operations for the Fiscal Years Ended 2017, 2016 and 2015 for the 24 Oklahoma Companies with stock market caps above $1 bil recently.
