From
a review of US SEC filings, there were 7 Companies headquartered in Idaho with
stock market caps or total equity of more than $1 Bil recently.
One
of these 7 Idaho Companies is the huge Micron Technology.
When
I reviewed Micron Technology’s most recent 10-K just filed with the SEC, I discovered
in its income tax footnote that its Total US Pretax Income for the two most
recent fiscal years combined was only $85 mil, which represented less than 1% of its
Total Worldwide Consolidated Pretax Income of $19.5 Bil for those same two
most recent fiscal years. Given that, in substance it's not really much of a US Company and thus I
excluded it from the other 6 Idaho Companies shown below.
My focus is on Pretax Income rather than on After-Tax Net Income
because Income Taxes are simply a transfer of financial wealth between US
Corporations and the US Federal, US State and Foreign Governments. It has
nothing whatsoever to do with Company Operating Performance.
