The 21 Largest Cleveland, Ohio Area Companies Profits Surge 561% During the Obama Administration ....................................................................................

Former US President Barack Obama will be campaigning this Thursday, September 13, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio for Richard Cordray who is running for Ohio Governor and for his running mate Betty Sutton.

From a review of SEC filings, I found that there were 21 US Companies headquartered in the Cleveland, Ohio area, which filed their annual financial statements with the SEC in both Obama's first fiscal year in office (2009) and also in Obama's last fiscal year in office (2016) and which had stock market caps above $1 bil very recently.

These 21 Cleveland area Companies posted fiscal year ended 2016 Audited US GAAP Total Pretax Income from Continuing Operations of $9.746 Bil, up by $8.271 Bil, or up a blistering 561% from their comparable 2009 Total Pretax Income of $1.475 Bil.

My focus is on Pretax Income rather than on After-Tax Net Income because Income Taxes are simply a transfer of financial wealth between US Corporations and US Federal, US State and Foreign  Governments.   It has nothing whatsoever to do with company operating performance.
