US National/Regional Bank Corps Average Stock Prices up 251% Under Obama

From a review of SEC Filings , I found 58 US National/Regional Banks which generated Core, Ongoing Pretax Income of at least $100 mil each in any of the first three years of the Obama Administration (2009, 2010 or 2011), and which also had their common stock trading on both March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was their low point resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown, and also trading on yesterday January 13, 2014.

I excluded the 4 Huge US Banks that dominate the US Bank Landscape.....JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Citigroup.....since they were all included in an earlier post.  These 4 Banking Giants had their average stock prices increase by an off-the-charts 384% from March 6, 2009 to January 13, 2014.

The historical stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources....  Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts.

These 58 US National/Regional Banks had their average stock prices increase by an exceptional 251% from March 6, 2009 to January 13, 2014.

Clearly, the stockholders and executives of these US National/Regional Banks must be extremely pleased with the financial impact of actions taken by both the Obama Administration and the US Fed to rescue the banking industry, which was in serious trouble after the financial meltdown hit late in President Bush's second term in 2008.

Leading the pack here was Fifth Third Bancorp, whose stock price advanced an amazing 15.5 times during this time span of less than 5 years.  But from my perspective, Fifth Third also must be the most unethical of the lot.  I opened an account there about a decade ago, and subsequently without notifying me, Fifth Third changed its policy and started charging huge monthly fees on this account.  I only found out much later at year end when they mailed out my annual account statement.  Fifth Third stated that it saw nothing wrong with this practice.  I think I ended up losing in less than a year about 20% of the amount I deposited just from these monthly fees.  And the banking industry doesn't understand why it is hated so much by so many US citizens for its greed?

Below here are the common stock market closing prices of each of these 58 US National/Regional Banks at both yesterday's close January 13, 2014 and also on March 6, 2009, as well as the percentage stock market price changes for this period of time.
