81 Largest US Banks Average Stock Prices Down 67% Due to Financial Meltdown Then Up 320% Under Obama and the US Fed

I found 81 US Banks with current Total Market Capitalizations of at least $1 bil each and which also had their common stock trading on December 31, 2006, the middle of President Bush's second term, on March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was their low point resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown, and also trading today January 16, 2014.

Included with these 81 Banks were Finance Companies.  I excluded Savings & Loan Companies, Security Brokers and Investment Banking/Advice Companies, and Insurance Companies.

The historical stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources....  Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts.

These 81 largest US Banks and Finance Companies had their average stock prices drop by a massive 67% from the midpoint of President Bush's second Presidential term on December 31, 2006 and very early in President Obama's first term, or on March 6, 2009, which was these US Banks' very lowest point resulting from the disastrous 2008 Financial Meltdown.

But nearly miraculously since March 6, 2009, the average stock prices of these same 81 largest Banks have increased by an exceptional 320% through today January 16, 2014, led by Fifth Third Bancorp, which could well be the most unethical of the 81.

Clearly, the investors in and employees of these 81 US largest Banks and Finance Companies must be extremely pleased with the financial impact of actions taken by both the Obama Administration and the US Fed, which rescued many of them from bankruptcy.....when you lose an average 67% of your market value, there is an awfully good chance that many of them were headed for the financial junk pile.

It's pretty clear to me that Ben Bernanke, other US Fed members, and many people in the Obama Administration and their outside advisers should all be given something equivalent to US Presidential Medals of Freedom for their financial rescue of a catapulting US economy headed for a certain depression.

Below are the market prices of each of these 81 largest US Banks and Finance Companies on today January 16, 2014, on March 6, 2009, and on December 31, 2006:
