32 Largest US Construction Corps Average Stock Prices Down 53% Due to Financial Meltdown Spillover Effects, Then Up 328% Under Obama and the US Fed

I found 32 US Construction Corps with current Total Market Capitalizations of at least $100 mil each and which also had their common stocks trading on each of the following three dates: on December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second term, on March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was their lowest point due to the spillover effects resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown, and also on January 22, 2014.

In deriving these US Construction Corps, I first started with the very helpful Yahoo Finance Website Construction Industry  .

The historical stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources....  Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts.

These 32 largest US Construction Companies had their average stock prices drop by a huge 53% from December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second Presidential term, and very early in President Obama's first term on March 6, 2009, which was the very lowest point for the overall stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the disastrous 2008 Financial Meltdown.

But since March 6, 2009, the average stock prices of these same 32 largest US Construction Corps have increased by a robust 328% through January 22, 2014.

The Residential Construction Subsector had its average stock prices increase the most since March 6, 2009.....up 440%.....followed by General Contractors up 340% and Heavy Construction up 190%.

Clearly, the investors in and employees of these 32 US largest Construction Companies must be pleased with the impact of actions taken by both the Obama Administration and the US Fed to successfully rescue the US economy from its extremely weakened state caused by the 2008 US financial meltdown.

The US Construction Industry would be helped immensely by a very robust US Infrastructure initiative.  And so would the overall US economy.  Further, the huge income inequality gap would also be somewhat narrowed.  It is very difficult for me to understand why the US Congress wouldn't enact one.....a wisely designed one would pay for itself many times over.  Unfortunately, the US Congress only has a handful of financial whizzes.

Below here are the market prices of each of these 32 largest US Construction Companies on January 22, 2014, on March 6, 2009, and on December 31, 2007, sorted first by Construction Subsector and then second by Percentage Increase from March 6, 2009 to January 22, 2014:
