The 19 Largest Indian Very Broad-Based Companies Total Audited Earnings Both Consistently and Very Nicely Up in Every Year Since 2007 ..... With 2014 Total Audited Earnings Up 55% Over 2010, Up 75% Over 2009, Up 139% Over 2008 and Up 120% Over 2007

From a review of the superb Google Finance Website and financial statements in company investor relations websites, I found 19 Companies headquartered in India with stock market caps of more than India Rupees (Rs) 1 trillion.  The India Rupee is worth US$.015.

Unlike in China where 12 of its largest 15 Companies are in the financial industry, with 10 of them being banks, and in Russia where 6 of its largest 10 Companies are in the oil & gas industry, India is blessed with a very desirable, highly diversified economy.  To illustrate, here is a breakdown of these 19 largest India Companies by industry:
  • 5 Financial
  • 4 Information Technology
  • 3 Very Diversified Conglomerates
  • 2 Auto Manufacturers
  • 1 Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • 1 Consumer Goods
  • 1 Telecom
  • 1 Oil & Gas
  • 1 Coal Mining
Until the narrowly-focused economies of China and Russia head in the direction where India's and Japan's broad-based economies are now, the world's economy will continue to suffer.  Just sayin.

Of these 19 largest Indian Companies, 16 of them reported in accordance with India GAAP and 5 were under either US GAAP or IFRS GAAP.  Infosys and HCL Technologies Ltd reported their financial statements in both India Rupees under India GAAP and in US$s under US GAAP. 

Ten of these 19 Indian Companies engaged one of the very prestigious Big 4 CPA firms as their external auditors.
