25 Largest Iowa Companies 2014 Total Audited Earnings On Absolute Fire, Up 30% Over 2012, Up 61% Over 2011 and Up 177% Over 2009 ..... These 25 Largest Iowa Companies 2014 Total Audited Earnings Were $3.192 Bil Under the Obama/Biden Administration, Up $3.611 Bil, or Up 862% Over 2008 Total Audited Losses of $0.419 Bil in the Last Year of the Bush/Cheney Administration

Since President Obama will be visiting the Des Moines, Iowa area tomorrow, I think it would be helpful to update just how well Iowa businesses have performed since the 2008 financial meltdown.

From an extensive review of audited financial statements filed with the SEC and also from a review of Google's Finance website, I found 25 Companies headquartered in Iowa with Stock Market Caps of more than $50 mil, or the equivalent for non-publicly-traded Companies.

Below here are the Net Income (Losses) From Continuing Operations for each of these 25 largest Iowa Companies for all years from 2008 to 2014:

On the employment front, from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Iowa State Unemployment Rate was 3.8% in the most recently reported July 2015, down substantially from 6.6% in July 2009.

Also, the Des Moines-West Des Moines Metropolitan area's Unemployment Rate was an even lower 3.2% in the most recently reported July 2015, down even more substantially from 6.7% in January 2010.
