Massachusetts Company Stock Prices On Fire in Most Recent Month

I found 128 Massachusetts Headquartered Companies in Yahoo's or Google's superb Finance websites or from SEC filings with current Total Market Capitalizations of at least $100 mil and which also had their common stocks trading on each of the following three dates:
  • On December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second term
  • On March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was the lowest point for the US stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown, and 
  • also on the most recent date June 9, 2014
I also included one Massachusetts Company whose common stock first started trading in early 2008.  That makes 129 Massachusetts Companies.

The historical stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources....  Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts.

These 129 Massachusetts Companies had their average stock market prices decline by a huge 52% from December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second Presidential term, to March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was the very lowest point for the overall stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the disastrous 2008 Financial Meltdown.

But in the five years and three months since March 6, 2009, with Obama as President and with the US Senate under Democratic control, coupled with Quantitative Easing by the US Fed, the average stock market prices of these same 129 Massachusetts Companies have increased by an impressive 345% through June 9, 2014.

Massachusetts very high earnings multiple technology and biotechnology company stock market prices really took it on the chin in the three months prior to May 14, 2014.  But in the most recent month, led by the many Massachusetts technology and biotechnology companies, these Massachusetts Company stock prices have been on fire.  To illustrate this point, the average stock market prices of these same Massachusetts Companies had increased by a much lower 308% in the five years and two months from March 6, 2009 through May 14, 2014.

In similar fashion, from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the US unemployment rate doubled from 5.0% in December 2007 to 10.0% in October 2009, early in President Obama's first term which was the very lowest point for the US Labor Market due to the lagging spillover effects resulting from the disastrous 2008 Financial Meltdown.

And then with the US economic stimulating actions of the Obama Administration, supported by both a Democratic controlled US Senate and US House (at the time), taking full effect, coupled with the Quantitative Easing by the US Fed, the US unemployment rate declined sharply from 10.0% in October 2009 to 6.3% in the most recently reported May 2014.

In like manner, Massachusetts's unemployment rate almost doubled, going from 4.5% in December 2007 to 8.7% in October 2009.  And then with the US economic stimulating actions of the Obama Administration, supported by both a Democratic controlled US Senate and US House (at the time), going full throttle, coupled with the Quantitative Easing by the US Fed, the Massachusetts State unemployment rate declined sharply, going from 8.7% in October 2009 to 6.0% in the most recently reported April 2014.

Below here are the stock market prices of each of these 129 Massachusetts Companies on June 9, 2014, on March 6, 2009, and on December 31, 2007, along with the related Stock Market Price Percentage Changes:
