US Big Non-Profit Hospital 2013 Bottom Line Profit Improvement of $42.8 Bil Under Obama vs Bush 2's Last Year...Update #1

There were 61 US Non-Profit Hospital Organizations with both Total Net Assets of more than $400 mil and Total Operating Revenues of more than $2.5 bil in 2013.

Hospital Bottom Line Net Income (Loss) is a combination of Operating Income and Non-Operating Income (Loss), with the latter being predominately from Investment Returns.

In former President Bush 2's last year in office, these 61 US Big Non-Profit Hospital Organizations posted Total Bottom Line Losses of $(11.893) bil.  Of these 61 US Big Non-Profit Hospital Organizations, 44 of them experienced Bottom Line Losses in their fiscal year ends December 2008 through September 2009.

On the other hand, in the most recent Fiscal Year 2013, these same 61 US Big Non-Profit Hospital Organizations generated Total Bottom Line Net Income of $30.956 bil, an Annual Profit Improvement of a massive $42.849 bil over that in former President Bush 2's last year in office.  All 61 US Big Non-Profit Hospital Organizations experienced this Profit Improvement.

It is very easy for me to understand why the large US Hospitals like both the Obama Administration and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

With the financial information taken from audited financial statements filed in the Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA), below here are the 2013 Total Operating Revenues and also Total Bottom Line Net Income (Loss) in both the most recent year 2013 and in former President Bush 2's last year in office for each of these 61 US Big Non-Profit Hospital Organizations:

The above 2013 financial information for Carolina's Health Care System is for the 9 months ended September 2013, since it hasn't filed its December 2013 financial statements in EMMA yet.

The above 2013 financial information for Catholic Health East is for the 9 months ended September 2013 since it was subsequently merged with Trinity Health.

The above 2008 financial information for Sutter Health was for its Obligated Group since I couldn't find in EMMA Sutter Health's Total System Information for that year.
