Tennessee Company Average Stock Market Prices Up 489% Under Obama and a Quantitative Easing US Fed, After Being Down 52% During Financial Meltdown

I found 44 Tennessee Companies in Yahoo's or Google's superb Finance websites or from SEC filings with current Total Market Capitalizations of at least $100 mil and which also had their common stocks trading on each of the following three dates:

• On December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second term
• On March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was the lowest point for the US stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown, and 
• also on the most recent date May 12, 2014.

And I also included a company which was sold in the last half of 2013.  That makes it 45 Tennessee Companies.

The historical stock prices of these companies were obtained from the following two excellent internet resources....  Google Finance and MarketWatch Big Charts.

These 45 Tennessee Companies had their average stock market prices decline by a massive 52% from December 31, 2007 during President Bush's second Presidential term, to March 6, 2009, very early in President Obama's first term, which was the very lowest point for the overall stock market due to the spillover effects resulting from the disastrous 2008 Financial Meltdown.

But in the slightly more than five years since March 6, 2009, the average stock market prices of these same 45 Tennessee Companies have increased by a spectacular 489% through May 12, 2014.
 
Two Tennessee Companies.....NN Inc and Acadia Healthcare.....had their stock market prices increase by more than 20 times in roughly the most recent 5 years.  And an additional 5 Tennessee Companies.....Buckeye Technologies, Healthstream, Louisiana-Pacific, The Dixie Group and International Paper.....had their stock market prices increase by more than 10 times in roughly the most recent 5 years.

In similar fashion, the US unemployment rate doubled from 5.0% in December 2007 to 10.0% in October 2009, early in President Obama's first term which was the very lowest point for the US Labor Market due to the spillover effects resulting from the disastrous 2008 Financial Meltdown.

And then with the US economic stimulating actions of the Obama Administration taking full effect, coupled with the Quantitative Easing by the US Fed, the US unemployment rate declined sharply from 10.0% in October 2009 to 6.3% in the most recently reported April 2014.

In like manner, Tennessee's unemployment rate nearly doubled, going from 5.4% in December 2007 to 10.7% in October 2009. And then with the US economic stimulating actions of the Obama Administration going full throttle, coupled with the Quantitative Easing by the US Fed, the Tennessee State unemployment rate declined sharply, going from 10.7% in October 2009 to 6.3% in the most recently reported April 2014.
