The 83 Largest US Companies, All With Market Caps Above $50 Bil, Generated Total Audited Earnings of $571.7 Bil in 2015, Down Only 0.6% From the 2014 Total Earnings of $575.1 Bil ..... 2015 Total Earnings Were Up 212% Over 2008 Total Earnings and Were Up 45% Over 2007 Total Earnings ..... These Very Resilient, Best-of-Breed US Largest Companies Have Recovered From the 2008 Financial Meltdown Much Better Than the Largest Companies in Nearly All Other Countries ..... This One's Also On the Obama Administration and the US Fed

From a review of the fine Google Finance Website and of company financial statements in the US SEC website, I found the 83 largest Companies headquartered in the US, all with Stock Market Capitalizations now of more than $50 Bil.

As you can see in the below chart, the Total Audited Earnings of these largest US Companies dropped by 53% from 2007 to 2008, the financial meltdown year.  Then, these Total Earnings increased by 87% in 2009 over 2008 and increased by another 32% in 2010 over 2009, thereby much more than recouping in only two years the total earnings decline resulting from the 2008 financial meltdown.

Below here are the reported Audited Earnings (Losses) From Continuing Operations of each of these 83 largest US Companies for all years reported from 2007 through 2015, with all companies presented in Stock Market Cap order:
