The 9 Largest Oklahoma City Companies Saw Their Total Pretax Earnings Decline By a Completely Off-the-Charts 1,075% in the First Half of 2020, Going From Total Pretax Earnings of $1.4 Bil in the First Half of 2019 To Total Pretax Losses of a Staggering $13.8 Bil in the First Half of 2020

From a review of Company SEC filings and the Google Finance website, I found 21 Oklahoma Companies with stock market caps of above $100 mil in mid-June 2020.  All of these 21 Oklahoma Companies had June 2020 second quarter ends.

Of these 21 Oklahoma Companies, 9 were headquartered in Oklahoma City and 11 in Tulsa.


The table below shows the Gold-Standard US GAAP Pretax Income (Loss) From Continuing Operations for the second and first quarters of both 2020 and 2019 for each of these 21 excellent Oklahoma Companies.  Chesapeake Energy's second quarter 2020 Pretax Loss below excludes Reorganization Gains of $394 mil.
