The 60 Largest Houston, Texas Area Companies Saw Their Total Pretax Earnings Decline By 391% or By $94.3 Bil in the First Half of 2020, Going From Total Pretax Earnings of $24.1 Bil in the First Half of 2019 to Total Pretax Losses of a Staggering $70.2 Bil in the First Half of 2020

From a review of Company SEC filings and the Google Finance website, I found 60 Houston, Texas Area Companies with stock market caps of above $1 bil in early June 2020. Of these 60 Houston, Texas Area Companies, 34 were Oil & Gas Companies and 26 were Non-Oil & Gas Companies.

The table below shows the Gold-Standard US GAAP Pretax Income (Loss) From Continuing Operations for the second and first quarters of both 2020 and 2019 for each of these 60 excellent Houston, Texas Area Companies.
