The 32 Largest Arizona Cos Suffer Total Pretax Income Declines of 39% in the March 2019 Quarter and of 51% in the December 2018 Quarter, After Increases of 12% in the September 2018 Quarter and of 32% in the June 2018 Quarter

Democratic Presidential Candidate Pete Buttigieg Will Be in Arizona Today, June 16, 2019.  Thus, I Think It Might Be Helpful to Research Just How Arizona Companies Have Performed on the Earnings Front in the Most Recent Four Quarters.

From a review of SEC filings and Google Finance, I found 32 Arizona Headquartered Companies with stock markets caps of above $1 bil sometime since Jan 1, 2018.

My Focus is on Pretax Income rather than on After-Tax Net Income because Corporate Income Taxes are simply a transfer of financial wealth between US Corporations and the US Federal, US State and Foreign Governments.  It has nothing whatsoever to do with Company Operating Performance.

From these SEC filings, the chart below shows the Gold-Standard US GAAP Pretax Income (Loss) From Continuing Operations for the March Quarters of both 2019 and 2018, the December Quarters of both 2018 and 2017. the September Quarters of both 2018 and 2017 and the June Quarters of both 2018 and 2017 for each of these 32 Arizona Companies.
