I excluded all US Utility Companies.
How have these 100 smaller US Companies recovered from the 2008-9 worldwide financial meltdown? Well, miraculously off-the-charts. Their Total Audited Earnings From Continuing Operations for the Two Years 2013-2014 were $3.316 bil, a huge $5.856 bil Earnings Improvement from the $2.540 bil Total Audited Losses in the Two Years 2008-9.
It is pretty clear to me that the major drivers of this wholescale, massive earnings recovery were prescient steps taken by the Obama Administration and by the US Fed.
The largest US Companies have recovered fantastically well from the 2008-9 US financial meltdown. But it is also very clear that actions by the Obama Administration and the US Fed have helped the smaller US Companies recover from the 2008-9 US financial meltdown even more so than the largest US Companies.
