US Motor Vehicle and Parts Corp Stock Prices Up an Average 386% Since President Obama Took Office

From an extensive review of SEC filings, I found 30 US Motor Vehicle and Parts Corps, which reported Ongoing, Core Pretax Income or Loss of at least $100 mil in either any of the most recent three years, or which were on pace to do so in 2012.

Of these 30 Motor Vehicle and Parts Companies, only 22 of them had their common stocks trading on both January 16, 2009, which is the last day stocks traded before President Obama took office, and also on yesterday, Friday, November 2, 2012.  The main reason there were 8 of them that did not have their stock trading on January 16, 2009 is because they went through reorganizations or bankruptcies, and subsequently came out of them.

I retrieved all of the below stock market closing price information from the excellent Big Charts.com website.

These 22 Motor Vehicle and Parts Companies had an average stock market price increase of an incredibly off-the-charts 386% since President Obama took office on January 20, 2009.  This is 5.8 times the 66% increase in the S&P 500 Index and 6.7 times the 58% increase in the Dow Industrials Index, both during the same time span.

The Obama Administration worked very hard to help rescue the key Motor Vehicle and Parts Sector, and that average stock price increase of 386% speaks objective volumes for how incredibly successful this effort was.

US citizens working in the Motor Vehicle and Parts Sector all throughout the country have to be very happy with the stock market performance of these many Motor Vehicle and Parts Companies during the Obama Administration.

When you think about the Motor Vehicle and Parts Industry, you think of Michigan.  And there are 7 of these 22 which are headquartered in Michigan, and the majority of the 8 Companies that are doing very well now, but which didn't have their common stock trading on January 16, 2009, are Michigan based.

But catch this point.....these 22 companies are headquartered in 10 different US States.

And #1 on this stock price appreciation list is Ohio based, and 3 of the top 8 are Ohio based.  And a total of 5 of these 22 are Ohio based.  No wonder the State of Ohio feels very good about how the Obama Administration successfully rescued the Auto Industry.

And #2 on this stock price appreciation list is headquartered in Illinois.

Below here are the common stock market closing prices of each of these 22 US Motor Vehicle and Parts Companies at both the most recent date, and also at the date just before President Obama took office, as well as the percentage stock market price changes for this period of time.
